Records of this free house coaching inn date back to 1691. The recent redecoration is sympathetic to the history of this lovely old building and the atmosphere welcoming.
The kitchen focuses on good local produce, offering traditional country pub food alongside a seasonal specials board.
The beautiful beer garden is ideal for alfresco dining or take the opportunity to book our skittle alley/function room that is deal for small to medium parties, meetings, weddings or wakes.
All day Sunday opening starts on Sunday 2nd April to coincide with Taunton Marathon.
We will be open from 10.30am serving Coffee & Bacon Rolls for just £2.50 per person, then during the lunch service from 12.30 till 3.30 we will be serving Hot Beef or Pork Rolls with Roast Potatoes & Salad for £6.50 per person..
Finally at 4pm we will have Live Music playing with The Bad Hombres...
